What is giclee?
Giclee is an art term naming the process of printing vibrant work onto canvas with premium ink jet printers. We use this process on to provide tablet cases with customized covers and interior liners.
More on giclee from Wikipedia:
“A neologism coined in 1991 by printmaker Jack Duganne for fine art digital prints made on ink-jet printers. The name originally applied to fine art prints created on IRIS printers in a process invented in the late 1980s but has since come to mean any high quality ink-jet print and is often used by artist, galleries, and print shops to denote such prints.
Beside its association with IRIS prints, in the past few years, the word “giclée,” as a fine art term, has come to be associated with prints using fade-resistant, archival inks (pigment based, as well as newer solvent based inks), and archival substrates primarily produced on Epson and some other types of large format printers. These printers use the CMYK color process but may have multiple cartridges for variations of each color based on the CcMmYK color model (e.g. light magenta and light cyan inks in addition to regular magenta and cyan); this increases the apparent resolution and color gamut and allows smoother gradient transitions. A wide variety of substrates are available including various textures and finishes such as matte photo paper, watercolor paper, cotton canvas, or artist textured vinyl.”
Does a CASEMODO Tablet Case pass the shake test?
A shake test is a procedure in which a case is heartily shaken in an attempt to see if the device stored inside will shake loose. Presumably this will identify whether or not there might be problems loosely storing the case and device in a purse or backpack. We’re happy to say that our sleek, snap-in frame has a snug grip that passes the shake test with flying colors.
Will my tablet device stay in the frame when my Pivot Case is set in a standing angle?
Of course! Once your device is snapped into place, you’ll be able to position your case & device with total freedom.
How long should I expect to wait until my completed order arrives?
Orders are processed within 1 week and ship in the same week or following week, using the shipping speed you selected when you ordered.
Is there a recommended method of cleaning my CASEMODO Tablet Case?
Sure. We recommend that you use a lightly (emphasis on ‘lightly’) dampened towel (fabric or paper) and spot clean the case as needed. We’re using bookbinding technology to construct our products, so think of your CASEMODO Tablet Case as a hardcover book with a designer varnish but, unlike most books, used constantly. Avoid getting the interior liner wet.
Is my CASEMODO Tablet Case water proof?
Our canvas covers have a water-resistant designer varnish. The Liner, however, is NOT water resistant. So, do not get the Liner wet.
Are all the ports and buttons accessible when my device is strapped into a CASEMODO Tablet Case?
Absolutely. Because our sleek snap-in frame is almost unnoticeable once your case is inside, all ports and buttons remain easily accessible, and neither front or rear camera is blocked.
How does my device fit into and out of the CASEMODO frame?
Simply place your iPad into the frame and give the device a firm (but gentle) and even press to snap it into place. To remove, simply pull the frame away from the device at a corner, and the iPad will be freed.
